Anna Marziano’s  short film „The Mutability of All Things and the Possibility of Changing Some“ (2011) will be shown in Oberhausen on Monday, 9 May, 20:00 h at Lichtburg Filmpalast/Sunset, as part of the distributor’s screening of Image Mouvement.

 

 

„Masanao Abe : Cloudgraphy“ is part of the International Competition at EXPERIMENTA 2015 in Bangalore, India.

Recognising the need for critical debate on film aesthetics, EXPERIMENTA, India’s first annual internationa festival for experimental cinema was founded in 2003 by Shai Heredia. Now in its 7th year,nEXPERIMENTA, continues to support and promote radical moving image works that extend the boundaries of genre and form.

Screening takes place on Saturday, 28th of Nov. 2015 at 2:30 pm  at Goethe-Institute Max Mueller Bhavan, Bangalore.

Berlin-Screening of the German Version of „Le beau danger“  at „Internationales Literaturfestival Berlin“ on Sunday,  September 20th at 5pm at Filmkunst 66,  Bleibtreustraße 12, 10623 Berlin.

Followed by a film talk with Norman Manea and René Frölke, moderated by Ernest Wichner.

 

 

 

Ann Carolin Renninger presents her works „Les Choses 1-12“ and „Lago“ at the final exhibition of the workshop „The book as printed space“  at Summeracademy Salzburg  (with Bernhard Cella and Anton Stuckhardt).

Frölke finds the most magnificent answers to this question: opting for a broken timeline, since a tragic existence put in order loses its meaning; displaying it through images that vary in texture (from colour to black and white, from 16mm to video), for his is not an even story; and focusing on the landscape he inhabited and on his writings, the only tangible testimony of his life experiences.“ JAVIER H. „I’m interested in exploring how something is said, how communication between people is structured in public, and how that communication fails or succeeds. I think that they both try to trace the frame within which our common cultural narratives appear. The feature film’s title comes from a book-length interview with Michel Foucault, conducted by Claude Bonnefoy. Foucault addresses the problem of an author and his work being often confused for each other and calls this confusion “le beau danger.”“ >>>
